Construction of dorm begins

Good news! With the help of Crosspoint Church in Huntington Beach, we are happy to announce that construction will begin this week on a new dorm at Crossover International Academy. The dorm will include showers and toilets.

Since construction of the school buildings, the students at Crossover have used the classrooms as both a place to learn and a place to sleep at night. The classrooms represent a huge step up over the old thatched huts, but logistically, it is difficult to convert a classroom/night time study area to a place to sleep each night. Some of the little ones get really tired while waiting for the older students to finish homwork. Plus, the dorm will make Crossover more like a safe place to call home.

Look for updates on construction of the dorm and thank you for continued support.

Wings for Crossover, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, was founded in June of 2013. After a visit to the school in the Lake Volta region of Ghana, co-founders Jim Conti and Chad Cooper committed themselves to helping the students at Crossover.

Since the founding, the organization has grown and it has successfully begun to meet the stated objectives.
