Student Band and Recycling Project Lead to Beds at Crossover

On Sunday night, a student band named Thermite played at Silky Sullivan’s in Fountain Valley. It was a night of great music and it was a lot of fun . Silky Sullivan’s agreed to donate a good portion of the proceeds to Wings. During the previous week, another group of students from the Pegasus School participated in a recycling campaign. Students in Kindergarten, 6th, 7th, and 8th grade collected plastic bottles, sorted, and took them to the recycle center. The proceeds from both events went to purchase foam some beds for the students at Crossover. “Students have been helping students” and there are some happy kids at Crossover tonight.

In the image below, you see Crossover kids testing out the new beds. According to Dave, one girl asked “what are the foams for?” She had not ever seen a foam bed before. These kids are lying in the new structure that was started in March.

More kids testing the comfort of the new beds. We still need more beds, but this was a great start.
